Most people are ready, willing, and able to take as many preparation steps as possible before they are about to enroll in law school.  If you want to be an attorney, this type of preparation will not go unnoticed.  You will see that by applying this extra effort, you are working towards being the best attorney that you can possibly be.  You are thinking ahead.  If you want to be a great attorney, it is pertinent that you are able to think ahead and plan accordingly.  These preparation measures that you will be taking shows that you have what it takes to be the very best attorney.  There are certain things that have to be in place if you are going to attend law school.  In order to attend the best law school, there are certain skills that you have to have in place in order to gain entry.  Taking the right courses to prepare you for law school will certainly help you to earn that right.

1.  If you want to be an attorney, one of the courses that you should take in order to get into law school is philosophy.  Being an attorney requires that you are good at forming arguments.  The basis of learning to be an attorney is about knowing how to form good solid arguments.  If you do not know how to do this, it is going to be quite hard for you to retain any clients.  But needless to say, this is something that can be learned.

2.  If you want to be an attorney, another course that is good to take in order to prepare you for law school is history courses.  When taking those Constitution law courses, the process becomes a little bit easier.  If you know the history behind the Constitution, the laws will not appear to be abstract. 

3.  If you want to be an attorney, you should especially be looking into taking a few writing classes.  These will certainly help you in law school.  You need to be able to compose legal documents on a consistent basis.  You need to be able to devise a valid legal contract, and you are also going to need to write a great deal of correspondence letters.  As an attorney, you will find yourself contacting the court system on behalf of your clients constantly.  You will also find yourself contacting organizations and agencies on behalf of your clients.

4.  If you are planning on going to law school to be an attorney, you also want to take an accounting course or two.  Especially if you are looking to practice business law, you definitely want to take advantage of these undergraduate classes.  Besides, this is going to prevent you from having to take a bunch of paid accounting courses after you have obtained your undergraduate degree.

5.  If you want to be an attorney, you are going to most certainly have to take a few public speaking classes.  In law school, you are going to find that most of the classes are going to require you to speak out.  Class participation is a must if you want to pass a law course.  You do not have to be the most eloquent speaker in the world, but if you want to be an attorney, you have to get comfortable with speaking in the public forum.
